Wireless Internet Providers (WISPs)
In the final two weeks I’ve been at two events: EnterpriseConnect in Orlando (EC16), and NetEvents in Rome. Increased mobility is by far the biggest attraction that wireless networking holds for most firms. And it is not advised when downloading enormous files over the web, but occasional internet customers will be fine utilizing dial-up connection. However, I could not break my contract with the number a single satellite web in America (sarcasm appropriate there) since of their WHOOPING $400 termination fee.
On the other hand, wireless client devices are generally mobile and are in diverse places. Where enhanced security and superfast operating speeds are not strictly needed, the many benefits of increased mobility that wireless enables, can easily outweigh the restrictions that a wired network imposes.
